An Israeli occupation soldier shot dead a Palestinian youth from point-blank range on Friday evening, in Hawara, near occupied Nablus.

Earlier, Israeli media reported that an Israeli "border guard" soldier was wounded in an alleged stabbing attack in Hawara in the northern West Bank, while Israeli Channel 12 said two Israeli occupation soldiers were wounded.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the young man was killed.

Israeli media claimed that the Palestinian youth tried to snatch an Israeli soldier's weapon then stabbed him in the neck, and the latter shot dead the man at the Hawara crossing.

According to Palestinian media, occupation soldiers prevented citizens and medical teams from approaching the young man, identified as Ammar Mufleh, to give him first aid.

Local media also cited eyewitnesses as saying that confrontations broke out following the incident amid heavy shooting and tear gas canisters fired.

On his part, Hamas Spokesperson Abdel Latif Al-Qanoua considered that the heinous Zionist crime committed by one occupation soldier by executing a young man in cold blood in Hawara, Nablus District, reflects the aggressive and fascist behavior of the occupation and its army.

Al-Qanoua stressed that the escalation of the crimes of the Zionist occupation, the latest of which is this heinous crime in Nablus, will be met with more resistance, warning that the enemy will pay the price for its crimes.

This comes after two Palestinian youths were martyred, a third was wounded, and four others were arrested at the break of dawn on Thursday after the Israeli occupation forces raided the city and camp of Jenin in Palestine's West Bank.

Medical sources at the Ibn Sina Hospital reported that two Palestinian men, Naim Jamal Al-Zubaidi, 27, and Muhammad Ayman Al-Saadi, 26, were killed by the occupation bullets, and another was wounded by shrapnel.
