The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Sunday reported the death of a sergeant from the 9th Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade during ongoing battles in northern Gaza. According to a spokesperson, the sergeant was killed in clashes as Israeli forces continued their military operations in the area.

In a separate incident, a soldier from the 931st Battalion of the Nahal Brigade sustained critical injuries in northern Gaza.

The Palestinian Resistance intensified its operations on Sunday, reportedly targeting two Merkava tanks and detonating a building occupied by Israeli forces in the northern region of the Gaza Strip.

On Saturday, Israeli media reported that sirens sounded across dozens of settlements west of occupied al-Quds, followed by a loud explosion in central occupied Palestine, as the Palestinian Resistance targeted the Judean foothills in occupied al-Quds.

This marked the first time long-range rockets have targeted illegal al-Quds settlements since December of last year, according to Israeli media.
