IOF spox: Fighting ongoing in 6 to 7 areas in Gaza, no control yet
Sirens are already going off in multiple areas around the Gaza Strip as settlers panic to find which way to run.
The IOF stated on Monday that points of conflict between the IOF and Hamas remain ongoing in seven to eight locations around the Gaza Strip.
IOF spokesperson Richard Hecht told reporters: "We're still fighting. There are between seven to eight open places around Gaza (where) we have still warriors fighting terrorists", adding: "We thought by yesterday we would have full control. I hope we will by the end of the day."
Airstrikes are currently also ongoing in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza. Due to the intensification of the airstrikes, ambulance teams were unable to reach the areas targeted in Beit Hanoun, as several main roads had been destroyed as a result of Israeli bombardment.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported on Sunday that the number of Israeli deaths has risen to 700 and the wounded to 2,000, 350 of whom are in a serious, hopeless condition.
The Israeli media also announced that among those killed is the head of the elite Israeli Multidimensional unit, also known as the Ghost unit, Colonel Roi Levy.
The media also suggested that the death toll is nearing 1,000, pointing out that there are still quite a few settlers missing, in addition to an unestimated number of settlers who were transferred to the Gaza Strip.

Ever since the Palestinian resistance launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the Israeli occupation forces and Israeli settlers have been bumping into walls, left and right, out of confusion and panic.
On Sunday, an IOF soldier became suspicious of a settler driving a truck at the “Shtoula” gate opposite the Lebanese village of Aita al-Shaab and opened fire at him when he didn't stop. The settler responded by running over five soldiers.
