Israeli occupation forces raided the Aida refugee camp in Nablus in the occupied West Bank on Monday, signaling a marked escalation in tensions in the region.

Reports indicated that special Israeli units, known as Musta'ribeen, infiltrated the al-Iyada neighborhood and surrounded a residential home. Eyewitnesses described a tense atmosphere as the forces deployed military reinforcements and positioned snipers on the rooftops of surrounding buildings.

In addition to surrounding a targeted house, Israeli forces reportedly detained ambulances within the camp, further hindering emergency services. After storming the Palestinian home, the Israeli invading forces caused extensive damage, ransacking its contents and leaving it in disarray.

Resistance fighters repel Israeli incursion into Jenin

In the early hours of the morning, Israeli occupation forces launched a major incursion into the city of Jenin from al-Nassera axis, only to be met with fierce resistance from Palestinian fighters armed with assault weapons and explosive devices.

Simultaneously, Al-Quds Brigades - Jenin announced its fighters successfully repelled the Israeli invading forces, raining heavy gunfire on the advancing troops from al-Nassera axis.

Resistance fighters also engaged Israeli forces in the western combat zones at the entrances of Silat al-Harithiya and Yammoun, where they unleashed a barrage of bullets and explosive devices, halting the Israeli advance.

Meanwhile, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades confirmed that its fighters had confronted the Israeli forces at multiple fronts in Jenin, engaging in intense firefights with machine guns and pre-planted explosive devices. The confrontations reportedly resulted in direct hits on Israeli soldiers at Al-Nassera Street and the entrances to Silat al-Harithiya and Yamun.

Since October 7, 2023, the West Bank has witnessed a surge in Israeli military raids, widespread arrests, and extensive destruction. In response, Palestinian Resistance forces have been mounting a robust defense using a combination of firearms and explosives to counter the ongoing assaults.

12 Palestinians detained in West Bank, total exceeds 11,400

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation forces detained at least 12 Palestinians across various cities, including al-Khalil, Jenin, and Ramallah. according to a joint statement by the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society on Sunday.

These detentions, as noted in the statement and reported by WAFA News Agency, have involved extensive raids and violent treatment of detainees, which include severe beatings and threats directed at both the detained individuals and their families, as well as property destruction in their homes.

Since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli assault on the Palestinian people in October 2023, the total number of Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in the West Bank has exceeded 11,400, including those from al-Quds, according to the statement.

Furthermore, reports suggest that the Israeli occupation continues to detain Palestinians in Gaza, especially in the northern areas, including women, children, and medical staff.

Human rights organizations have maintained that since the beginning of the Israeli genocide, they have struggled to accurately monitor the number of detentions in Gaza, which are estimated to be in the thousands.
