Iran's representative office at the United Nations denounced the military aggression on Yemen led by the United States and Britain on Friday.
The office stated that this unjustifiable war violates Yemen's sovereignty and international resolutions, and jeopardizes the stability of the region.
It also pointed out that the actions of the United States and Britain contradict international laws, adding that the two countries' rejection of the amendments proposed by Russia to the Security Council resolution on Yemen reflects their deliberate intention to carry out the aggression.
On its part, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its concern and regret over the consequences of the US-British airstrikes on Yemen.

In a statement, the Ministry emphasized that maritime security is linked to the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, warning that the dangerous escalation by Washington and London will undermine efforts to find a solution to the conflict in Yemen.
Algeria urged the countries engaged in the aggression against Yemen to halt military interventions due to their catastrophic impact on global peace, adding that innocent and defenseless civilians bear the brunt of such interventions.
In the same context, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian affirmed that Yemen's actions in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza in the face of the genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation entity deserve all praise.

Amir-Abdollahian pointed out that Sanaa is fully committed to maritime security and navigation, adding that instead of launching a military attack on Yemen, the United States should immediately cease all military and security cooperation with "Tel Aviv" against the residents of Gaza and the West Bank in order to restore security to the entire region.
Earlier on Friday, the Iranian cities of Bushehr, Yasuj, and Yazd witnessed demonstrations condemning the latest US-British aggression on Yemen.
US Air Forces Central stated in a press release that airstrikes in Yemen targeted over 60 sites associated with the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement across 16 locations.
The strikes involved the utilization of over 100 precision-guided munitions of diverse types, as mentioned in the release.
