Iran, Saudi Arabia can create bright future for region: MBS to Mokhber
The Saudi Crown Prince underscores the significance of enhancing ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia for the broader region and the Islamic world.
Acting Iranian President Mohammad Mokhber thanked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS) for extending condolences on the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi, affirming the commitment to fostering warm Tehran-Riyadh relations.
Mokhber received a phone call from MBS, during which the Saudi Crown Prince offered his condolences on the martyrdom of Raisi and his companions in a helicopter crash last Sunday.
Bin Salman underscored the significance of enhancing ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia for the broader region and the Islamic world, highlighting their pivotal roles.
"Tehran and Riyadh play a pivotal role in the region and the Islamic world, and by expanding relations between them, they can create a bright future for the region," he said.
On his part, Mokhber regarded the advancement of relations with neighboring and friendly nations as one of President Raisi's notable and strategic accomplishments.
He acknowledged that the loss of a popular and hard-working president like President Raisi is difficult but affirmed that the nation's trajectory would persist unchanged, "and the same spirit of interest and confidence among Iran and Saudi Arabia will continue as in the era of the martyred president."
The acting Iranian President stressed the continuation of the 13th government's neighborhood policy and the imperative of strengthening ties with regional nations, emphasizing that solidarity and mutual understanding among nations were essential for ensuring stability and prosperity in the region.
