On the first anniversary of the riots in Iran, Al Mayadeen dedicated significant coverage to this important event, which was fueled politically by Western countries and Western media in an attempt to weaken the Iranian state and the Iranian nation as a whole, exploiting the tragic death of Mahsa Amini.
The Iranian people foiled the West's conspiracies
In this context, writer and political analyst, Hussain Royvaran, explained in an interview with Al Mayadeen that Iran has been "targeted since the Islamic Revolution." He emphasized that "the Iranian people are the ones who thwarted all of the West's conspiracies" against their country, noting the overwhelming support of Iranians for the Islamic Revolution and the system that emerged from it.
Royvaran also added that Iranian security forces played a crucial role in exposing terrorist networks and their connections to the West. He pointed out that there is a "continuous process of correction" in Iran for certain individual errors within the state.

In a related context, Talib Mohammed Kareem, Professor of Political Thought at Al-Mustansiriya University in Baghdad, affirmed to Al Mayadeen that Iran is "constantly targeted" by Washington, which admitted through its former National Security Advisor John Bolton, to arming groups in the Kurdistan region of Iraq against Tehran.
Kareem also mentioned that the recent agreement between Baghdad and Tehran stipulated the removal of armed groups from Iran's borders in the Kurdistan region, to a distance of more than 40 kilometers.
