Iran Air Defense Force to unveil 300 km range missile
Despite all arbitrary US sanctions on the country, the Iranian military capabilities are continuously advancing, as Tehran is set to unveil new, advanced missiles soon.
The Iranian Air Defense Force will unveil new missiles with a range of 300 km soon, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Elhami said on Sunday.
Increasing the missile capability of the army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) is one of the requirements of deterrence, he explained.
"The only way to counter all sanctions and threats is to become stronger in all matters, especially in the military field," Elhami said in a meeting with some forces within the Iranian Armed Forces, the IRGC, and the Islamic Republic of Iran Police Force.
"Increasing the missile capability of the army and the IRGC is one of the requirements of deterrence and protection of national interests, which must be further enhanced," he added.
Elhami also revealed that the missiles with a range of 300 km would be unveiled by the Air Defense Force in the near future. "The development of missile capability is a symbol of self-reliance and independence."
The senior defense official also said Tehran's armed forces were capable of observing, identifying, and tracking all aircraft, drones, and fighters within the air borders of the country, especially in the Gulf, adding that any threats to Iran would merit a decisive response.
Israeli media reported in early June about the latest message sent from Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in which he mentioned "revenge", noting that his words obliged the entire state apparatus in Iran to adhere to the implementation of this commitment, "and Israel is aware of that and does not underestimate the issue."
"All the Israeli operations that took place on Iranian soil will not stop Iran from moving in two pivotal areas: nuclear capabilities and armament, as well as the means of posing a threat on land," retired Israeli Major General Eitan Dangot told Israeli Channel 12.
According to IRGC commander Brigadier General Hossein Salami, the opponents of the revolution are diminishing, and Iran is progressively becoming a global power.
