The Iranian Foreign Ministry severely condemned "Israel's" actions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continue their war on Gaza, killing hundreds of civilians.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei issued a statement on Thursday accusing the Israeli regime of committing various crimes, including the targeted assassinations of journalists, launching deliberate attacks on medical personnel and healthcare centers, and allowing extremist settlers to carry out incursions into the Al Aqsa Mosque compound.
Baghaei further stated that all nations have a responsibility to act to halt "Israel’s" use of starvation and famine as tools of genocide.
The Iranian spokesperson condemned the lack of action from certain Western nations—such as Britain, Canada, Germany, and France—in response to what he described as "Israel’s blatant and systematic" human rights violations in occupied Palestine. He asserted that their silence in the face of the Israeli regime’s crimes exposes their hypocrisy on matters of human rights and the rule of law.
Spokesperson Baghaei emphasized that all nations bear a collective obligation under international law to prevent and confront "Israel’s" egregious crimes, including genocide and war crimes, while also pointing out that the Israeli regime’s continued impunity has only further encouraged its relentless campaign of violence against Palestinians.
He concluded by calling on all nations, particularly Muslim countries, to unite in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and take decisive action to prevent further massacres of innocent women and children.
The condemnation comes amid an intensified assault by "Israel" on the West Bank and Gaza, killing and detaining hundreds while Israeli settlers attack residents of Palestinian towns.
Israeli forces kill and detain Palestinians in W. Bank
On April 2, Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians from al-Khalil in the southern occupied West Bank after raiding their homes, searching their properties, and damaging their contents, according to the official news agency Wafa.
Israeli forces established multiple military checkpoints at the entrances to al-Khalil Governorate, including its towns, villages, and refugee camps, restricting the movement of Palestinian residents while also detaining seven Palestinians in al-Khalil after raiding and searching their homes, according to Wafa.
The Israeli military’s assault on Jenin and its refugee camp has continued for 73 consecutive days, involving home demolitions, arson, and the conversion of houses into military outposts.
According to the United Nations, the operation has forcibly displaced over 40,000 people from refugee camps and surrounding communities in Jenin and Tulkarm. Israeli occupation forces have since demolished or inflicted severe damage on hundreds of homes and residential buildings, as reported by the UN, local authorities, video footage, and eyewitness testimonies.
According to the Jenin Refugee Camp Media Committee, 36 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the Israeli aggression. Over 600 homes have been destroyed, while more than 3,250 housing units have been rendered uninhabitable. Hundreds of Palestinians have been arrested or detained, and more than 21,000 have been displaced.
