The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Saturday evening that 22-year-old Ahmad Qasim Suleiman Bani Odeh was killed by Israeli forces in the town of Tammun, southeast of Tubas in the occupied West Bank, adding that the martyr's body was subsequently withheld by the Israeli occupation military.
According to the ministry, the General Authority for Civil Affairs informed them of Bani Odeh's killing at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces in Tammun.
The Israeli forces raided Tammun on Saturday morning, surrounding a house before shooting and injuring Bani Odeh. He was then detained, though the extent of his injuries remained unknown at the time.
Additionally, on Saturday night, Israeli forces stormed the villages of Beitillu and Deir Ammar in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate.
Security sources told the Palestinian news agency WAFA that Israeli troops entered the villages, though no detentions or home raids were reported.
Aggression on West Bank continues
According to local media, the forces entered the town of Tammun through the Atouf military checkpoint, encircled a residential building, and deployed additional reinforcements, including a bulldozer.
Local media further reported that heavy gunfire echoed throughout the town during the raid.
The al-Quds Brigades – Tubas Battalion declared that its fighters in the Tammun Company were engaging Israeli forces, unleashing heavy gunfire in response.
This raid is part of the ongoing Israeli military campaign across the occupied West Bank, marked by widespread arrests, home invasions, and movement restrictions.
Mounting violations, crimes
Israeli occupation forces shot and killed an 18-year-old Palestinian from the town of Beita shortly after midnight Thursday near Huwwara, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank.
