On Sunday morning, during an open session of the Iranian Parliament, Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf responded to the anti-Iran positions of the three European countries and the United States.

He criticized their unrealistic and harmful political stance, which led to the adoption of an unjustified and unanimous resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors concerning Iran's peaceful nuclear program.

Ghalibaf further explained that the three European countries and the United States are using Iran's peaceful nuclear activities as a pretext for illegitimate actions. He criticized them for undermining the IAEA's credibility and independence through dishonesty and non-compliance, which hinders constructive efforts to strengthen interactions between Iran and the IAEA.

In response to the political misuse of the IAEA Board of Governors, Ghalibaf stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran swiftly added the issue to its agenda and initiated the deployment of new and advanced centrifuges, emphasizing that the continuation of such political and unconstructive decisions will drive countries to take actions outside the IAEA's protocols to safeguard their national security.

The Iranian Parliament Speaker expressed hope that the IAEA, along with heads of state committed to safeguarding the independence and technical credibility of the Board of Governors, would oppose the recent resolution and put an end to the oppressive influence of the three European states and the US.

In the same context, Iranian sources told Al Mayadeen on November 19 that Iran was prepared to respond immediately with measures in its nuclear program should the IAEA release a statement condemning the country.

The sources indicated that Iran's response would include injecting gas into centrifuges and activating advanced centrifuges previously installed in its nuclear facilities.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ghalibaf referenced the International Criminal Court's arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant, stressing that the court has finally held accountable two of the most infamous war criminals in modern history — the violent leaders of the illegitimate occupation.

He stated that this humanitarian ruling marks the first step in a series of actions aimed at bringing the regime's criminal leaders to trial before the global community for their ongoing genocide and crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.
