Iran dismantles over 12 Mossad-linked groups involved in riots
The Iranian Intelligence Ministry announces that over 12 Mossad-linked groups seeking to destabilize Iran have been discovered and dismantled.
Over a dozen "Israel"-linked terrorist groups have been dismantled, and their plots to destabilize and create chaos in Iran have been foiled, according to the Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib.
In an official meeting in the province of Zanjan, Khatib said, "More than 12 terrorist teams have been arrested by intelligence forces in a short span of time," adding that “these terrorist teams were seeking to avenge their failure in [advancing] sedition by carrying out various operations."
The groups, who sought to sow chaos in Iran, have all been traced, according to the minister, back to Israeli intelligence.
The statements come as Iranian intelligence authorities have discovered evidence showing the role played by the CIA and other Western intelligence agencies in the Iran riots.
Leaders of recent riots in Iran received training in seven countries
In the same context, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi revealed, in November 2022, that the leaders of the recent riots in Iran received training in seven countries.
Referring to the recent riots, Vahidi considered that the enemy harnessed all its energies, including the media, in order to undermine national unity, but suffered defeat in the face of the vigilance and insight of the united Iranian people that were able to thwart this scheme.
It is noteworthy that in late October, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry and the IRGC's intelligence wing revealed that intelligence obtained by Tehran indicates that the CIA and allied intelligence services planned a conspiracy against the Islamic Republic.
"The main perpetrators were the CIA, the British and Saudi intelligence services, the Israeli Mossad, and the intelligence services of other countries," it read, indicating that "the planning and the execution of the majority of the riots were carried out by the Mossad in collaboration with terrorist organizations."
