Iran activated less than 5% of its defensive capabilities during its response to the Israeli aggression on the country, revealed Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Naghdi, deputy commander for coordination of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Press TV reported.
Speaking during a televised interview on Saturday, Naghdi clarified that activation did not mean depletion.
“And by ‘activated’ I do not mean ‘spent.’ It merely means that five percent of our defense units became engaged with the enemy,” he indicated.
Iran's 'principal capabilities remain untouched'
The Brigadier General emphasized that Iran's "principal capabilities remain untouched and have not entered the fray at all,” asserting that “the full magnitude of our forces has yet to reveal itself.”
Naghdi remarks came in light of "Israel's" unprovoked June 13 aggression on Iran, which triggered a retaliatory barrage of Iranian ballistic missiles, including hypersonic variants, targeting strategic nuclear, military, and industrial locations across the occupied Palestinian territories.
Footage from the aftermath of the strikes showed significant damage to various Israeli military installations, including airbases from which the attacks originated.
US deployed THAAD to shield 'Israel'
Military experts cited in Western outlets confirmed that the United States deployed at least two of its seven global THAAD missile defense platforms to support the Israeli occupation regime.
The costly support operations were estimated to have exceeded $800 million during the 12-day war.
Despite these efforts, the scale of Iranian missile retaliation highlighted vulnerabilities in "Israel's" defenses.

Iran’s ground forces hold untapped strength
While the Iranian retaliation was primarily carried out through air and missile forces, Naghdi noted that the core strength of Iran’s military lies in its ground forces.
“We are well-equipped to fight. Perhaps we could keep attacking the enemy like this for several years, striking them with missiles at this same pace,” he emphasized.
