The Iranian Civil Aviation Authority announced on Saturday that the country's airspace will remain closed until 2:00 AM local time on Sunday, June 15, citing ongoing security concerns.
"Due to the specific circumstances, the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization declares the closure of the country's airspace until 2:00 AM on Sunday [22:30 GMT Saturday]," the authority stated.
Earlier in the day, the organization had issued a blanket suspension on all flights until further notice. This comes amid dangers imposed by the Israeli occupation as it resumes its aggression on Iranian territories.
In its latest attack, loud explosions were heard in the city of Tabriz, northwestern Iran, on Saturday following an Israeli strike, according to Press TV.

The broadcaster published images showing plumes of smoke rising over the city following the attack.
However, Tasnim News Agency reported that Iranian air defense systems were actively intercepting incoming Israeli missiles over Tabriz, Khorramabad, and Kermanshah. Despite the strikes, Iranian media confirmed that the Tabriz oil refinery remained undamaged.
