Iran FM assures Hamas chief of support to Palestinian resistance
Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh displays warm support of the recent Iran-Saudi Arabia pact, calling it a benefit for the whole region.
During a phone call on Monday with the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement, Ismail Haniyeh, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed Iran's unwavering support to Palestine and its resistance movement.
According to IRNA, Amir-Abdollahian referenced the speech by the leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Eid al-Fitr on April 22, 2023, to emphasize Iran's continuous support by using Khamenei's term of the Palestinian struggle as “one of the most fundamental issues of the Islamic World.”
In response, Haniyeh affirmed Palestine's resilience in the face of the IOF and its crimes against humanity.

On a separate note, Haniyeh also welcomed the recent agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia, calling it a benefit to both nations and an advantage to the entire region and its politics.
This follows a call between Amir-Abdollahian and the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, Ziyad Al-Nakhalah, on Sunday. Abdollahian stressed that the Iranian people would continue supporting the Palestinian people and their struggle against the Israeli occupation.
Al-Nakhalah responded by wishing the Iranian people and government a happy Eid Al-Fitr, saluting the Iranian government and the Iranian people, as well as their support of the Palestinian cause.
He also emphasized that the Palestinian factions had a united front against the Israeli occupation and expressed his gratitude for Iran's support of the Palestinian people.
