Iran FM to visit Syria on Saturday
The Iranian Foreign Ministry announces a visit to Damascus by Tehran's Foreign Minister.
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, announced on Friday that Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian will visit Syria tomorrow.
Kanaani said in a statement that Amir-Abdollahian will leave for Damascus tomorrow following his regional visit to Turkey.
The spokesperson pointed out that the goal of the visit is to discuss bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues with Syrian officials.
Iran's Foreign Minister had made a visit to Damascus in March, where he met with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, discussing bilateral cooperation with him, as well as efforts being made by the two sides to pursue bilateral trade and economic agreements.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi declared back in April that Iran and Syria will boost their ties and cooperation in all fields.
