Iran looking to expand ties with Indonesia in all areas
The Iranian President receives a delegation from Indonesia and the two discuss expanding ties in all areas.
President Ebrahim Raisi received on Wednesday the Chief Justice of the Indonesian Supreme Court (MA) Muhammad Syarifuddin and his accompanying delegation at the presidential compound for a meeting, in which the friendly and growing relations between Iran and Indonesia were discussed.
Raisi stated that Iran's will to develop relations with Indonesia in all fields is serious and emphasized that "the current level of bilateral relations does not match with the existing capacities of the two countries."
The Iranian president brought up Indonesia's active approach when it comes to international organizations and noted that "Good relations between Tehran and Jakarta in various fields can lead to the development of constructive cooperation between the two countries at the regional and international levels."
He added, "Today, the hegemonic system under the guise of defending human rights is practicing the biggest injustice to the world and the Muslim countries. A shared position of the free jurists of the world against this obvious oppression by the hegemonic system can be effective in changing the situation of human rights in the world."
For his part, the Indonesian official expressed his happiness with the visit to Iran and meeting with Raisi, and called the two countries' relations friendly, cordial, and expanding.
In this context, he expressed Indonesia's interest in increasing the level of interaction with Iran in various fields and asked to benefit from Tehran's experiences in the field of technologies related to legal and judicial affairs.
