Iran police vow to hold accountable policemen involved in beating
Iran's law enforcement stress they never support the excessive and unwarranted use of force, and those who violate the law will definitely be held accountable.
Iran's law enforcement said on Tuesday it vows to hold accountable the policemen that were involved in violently beating a citizen.
In a viewing of a video recording showing a group of policemen beating a citizen, authorities said that "special orders were issued to launch an investigation regarding the location and time of the incident and to identify the culprits."
Authorities said they "never support excessive and unwarranted use of force, and those who violate the law will definitely be held accountable."
Iran has been facing ongoing riots ever since Mahsa Amini died of natural causes while under police custody.
On October 2, the Shura council confirmed that over 45,000 foreign intelligence servicepersons, including members of terrorist organizations, were involved in fomenting the riots, mostly from western countries, and said it possessed evidence to back its claims.
An investigative report by Reuters issued on October 2 reveals how the CIA left its Iranian spies behind with exclusive testimonies describing it as a "stain" on the US government. The report further exposes how CIA actions put Iranian spies in danger and how it provided no assistance to the informants or their families during or after their arrest.
On October 28, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and the IRGC confirmed that intelligence obtained by Tehran indicates that the CIA and allied intelligence services planned a conspiracy in Iran against the Islamic Republic.
