Iran ready for 'any situation' against 'Israel': IRGC Navy chief
Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri reaffirmed Iran's preparedness to counter any attack by the Israeli occupation.
The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' (IRGC) Navy, Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, emphasized the preparedness of the Iranian Armed Forces to counter any enemies, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In an interview with Iran’s Al-Alam network, Tangsiri stressed that Iran has comprehensive plans to address all potential scenarios. He also condemned Netanyahu’s regime for fueling tensions in the region through acts of aggression and terrorism in Gaza and Lebanon, while highlighting Iran's strategic readiness to confront any threats.
He said, “We prepare ourselves for any situation,” adding that the “Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Sayyed Ali Khamenei] has always stressed the need for full readiness and vigilance in normal or emergency conditions in the region, among them Netanyahu’s play with fire.”
The IRGC commander also referenced last month’s large-scale military parade held in Iran at the start of Sacred Defense Week. He emphasized that the event sent a clear message to the enemies: "If they choose to ignite war in West Asia, Iran will stand resolutely against them".
He further stated that "Islam does not permit us to attack any country unless they invade us." However, he pointed out that enemies, driven by their desire to sell weapons and extend their illegal presence in the region, attempt to falsely portray Iran as a threat.
“Therefore, if our national and Islamic interests are not affected, we will not show any reaction, but in any case, we will defend the oppressed.”
On Saturday, the deputy chief of the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Ali Fadavi, issued a stern warning to "Israel", stating that any misstep by the entity would endanger its very existence.
In an exclusive interview for Al Mayadeen, Fadavi said, “If the occupying entity makes a mistake, we will target all its energy sources, including power stations, refineries, and gas fields.”
He emphasized the contrast between Iran and the Israeli entity, pointing out that while Iran is a large country with many economic centers, "Israel" is limited to just three power stations and a few refineries.
Operation True Promise 2
On Tuesday, as part of Iran's Operation True Promise 2, dozens of missiles reportedly hit their designated target, with reports indicating that over 400 missiles and projectiles had been launched from Iran toward the occupied Palestinian territories.
Sirens sounded all over occupied Palestine as Iranian media announced that the Iranian response to Israeli aggression had started.
The IRGC released a statement following the launch of the response, saying "We have targeted the heart of the occupied territories in response to the assassination of martyrs Haniyeh, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Nilforooshan."
The statement further said, warning "Israel", "If the Zionist regime retaliates to the Iranian operation, it will face violent consequences."
