Iran ready for all-out cooperation with China: Raisi
Raisi stressed his country's advocacy for "global development" and "global security" initiatives suggested by Xi.
In a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping for the country's National Day on October 1, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi highlighted, "Iran and China, as two countries opposed to unilateralism, have many grounds for comprehensive development of relations, and there is no doubt that the serious will of both sides to implement a comprehensive strategic partnership draws a clear perspective to realize the common interests of the two countries."
The agreement includes cooperation and industrialization in its various civilian, military, and space forms.
Raisi also referred to Iran's advocacy for "global development" and "global security" initiatives suggested by Xi, on account of them being founded on the collective interests of nations.
He also shed light on intentions of developing welfare and strengthening global peace and stability in a world that Raisi said "is facing challenges that, in order to overcome them, it is necessary to increase the cooperation of independent countries and find global solutions."
Earlier this month, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian revealed to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that Iran prioritizes centering its foreign policy on Asia, following his visit back in January.
In a phone call with China's Foreign Minister, Amir-Abdollahian expressed that "Iran aspires to establish complete ties with China," adding that his nation confirms its commitment to implementing the strategic cooperation agreement for a 25-year term.
