Iran reaffirms support for Resistance at funeral of martyred General
The deputy commander for coordination of the IRGC Quds Force said no matter how hard the Zionist regime, with the full support of the US, would try, it could not destroy the Resistance.
Brigadier General Iraj Masjedi, deputy commander for coordination of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, delivered a resolute message during the funeral ceremony of Brigadier General Kioumars Pourhashemi in Tehran.
The event, which drew high-ranking officials and large crowds, became a platform for Masjedi to reaffirm Iran’s steadfast commitment to the Resistance Front and its growing capabilities in the face of mounting regional tensions and international challenges.
Self-reliance
Speaking to mourners, Masjedi hailed the technological and strategic evolution of the Resistance Front. He noted that movements such as Hezbollah and other allied forces have become increasingly self-reliant, producing advanced missiles and drones despite severe sanctions and blockades.
"Resistance forces, who once pelted their enemies with stones, are now equipped with sophisticated armament," he said, underscoring the significant strides these groups have made in their military capabilities.
The general dismissed Israeli claims of having dismantled the missile capabilities of the Resistance. He cited Hezbollah’s ability to launch 380 missiles into occupied territories on the very day such claims were made, calling it clear evidence of the Resistance’s enduring strength.

No matter how hard the Zionist regime, with the full support of the US, would try, it cannot destroy the Resistance, Masjedi added, reaffirming the resilience of these movements against external aggression.
Unwavering commitment
Masjedi also spoke of Iran’s unwavering stance in supporting the Resistance Front. He described this policy as a cornerstone of the Islamic Republic’s principles, driven by the solidarity of the Iranian people, its armed forces, and Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
That is the official position of the Islamic Republic, and it will continue to support the Resistance without any fear or hesitation, he asserted, vowing that Iran’s commitment remains steadfast.
