Iran, Russia to expand defense, space cooperation: Raisi
Days following his visit to Moscow, Iranian President Raisi affirms that Russia and Iran have agreed to expand their cooperation in several spheres.
Moscow and Tehran have reached agreements on expanding defense and space cooperation during the Iranian visit to Russia, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said Friday.
"During this visit, good talks were also held on the expansion of defense, aerospace, and space cooperation," Raisi said.
He explained that the two sides decided that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Petroleum, as the head of the Iranian side of the Joint Economic Commission, will implement the Russian-Iranian agreements.
Raisi had arrived in Moscow on Wednesday in light of a two-day state visit, during which he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Ahead of his departure from Tehran to Moscow, Raisi said the visit could be a turning point "for all our relations with Russia" given the political, economic, and trade relations between the two countries.
