The unity demonstrated by Iranians during the Israeli war on Iran ultimately forced "Israel" and the United States to pursue their hostile goals against the country, Major General Abdullahi, the commander of the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, said in a post on X.
The Khatam al-Anbia commander stated that the armed forces remain in a state of full readiness to protect the country, national security, and the achievements of the Islamic Revolution, emphasizing that their current preparedness and achievements far surpass levels seen before the recent war on Iran.
Gen. Abdullahi went on to say that the Israeli attempt to inflame the country's atmosphere with psychological and media warfare comes at a time when it is itself grappling with significant problems on the domestic, regional, and international levels.
Ready for war, negotiations
This comes as Iran asserts its stance when it comes to its nuclear program, affirming its readiness for both war and negotiations, while the global community continues to mount pressure on Tehran to concede its nuclear program.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared on Wednesday that Tehran shies away from neither negotiations nor war, emphasizing the country's readiness for both scenarios should circumstances demand them. He emphasized that a return to diplomacy is only possible if it is based on the other side's genuine goodwill and is free from any preconditions that would seek to undermine Iran's sovereignty.
Echoing this stance, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi insisted that any new talks with Washington are contingent upon Iran first obtaining firm guarantees against a repetition of past aggression. He asserted that uranium enrichment is a non-negotiable national right and that any acceptable agreement must be predicated on the complete lifting of sanctions.
Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, stated that while the path to US negotiations remains open, he criticized Washington for its conduct and for raising unrealizable issues such as missile restrictions that ultimately negate any serious discussion. He contended that the United States offers only rhetorical support for dialogue while refusing to approach the negotiating table in good faith.
