'Israel' forced to accept ceasefire, this is its major defeat: Qaani

The recent announcement comes a day after the Iranian president-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian, reiterated Iran's full-fledged support for the Palestinian Resistance, in a message to the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh.

Pzeshkian expressed his nation's "human and Islamic duty to support the Palestinian nation" in its struggle against the Israeli occupation, anchored by the principles and goals of the Islamic Revolution and the notions of its leader, Imam Khomeini.

"[Iran] will continue to support the oppressed Palestinian nation until the realization of all its ideals and rights and the liberation of the holy al-Quds," Pezeshkian affirmed, emphasizing that in light of the bravery and devotion of the people of Palestine and their Resistance, "victory would be in the hands of dear Palestine."

On Monday, Pezeshkian also sent the leader of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, a message asserting the Islamic Republic's support for the Resistance and the people of the region against the illegitimate Israeli occupation.

The roots of Iran’s support for the Resistance lie in the basic policies of the regime and the directives of the Leader, and it will continue strongly, the Iranian president-elect affirmed in his message.

He further said he was certain that the Resistance movements in the region would not allow the Israeli occupation to proceed with its war tactics and aggression against the people of Palestine and those of the region.

Pezeshkian also reiterated, during a telephone conversation with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Iran's steadfast support for Syria and the broader resistance efforts, stressing the importance of implementing existing agreements between the two nations to bolster bilateral cooperation in ways that serve their mutual interests.
