Iran sanctions 61 more US officials supporting terrorist group at home

Washington is a supporter of the MKO, a terrorist group in Iran, responsible for the killing of thousands.

Today, Saturday, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that in accordance with a law pertaining to countering Washington's human rights violations and terrorist acts in the region, several American officials and individuals have been added to the list of designated supporters of a terrorist group, the Monafeghin terrorist group, or the MKO.

The individuals have participated in the MKO's gathering, have acknowledged and justified their terrorist acts and causes, and have provided political and propaganda support to the group, according to the Ministry.

The MKO, throughout recent decades, have committed numerous terrorist acts and crimes against civilians, including the murdering of over 17,000 innocent civilians - mostly women and children. The United States government continues to support this terrorist group, maintaining double standards and hypocrisy.

Furthermore, Tehran has called on international obligations to refrain from facilitating and encouraging terrorism and has reiterated that Washington;'s policies and practices regarding the support of the Monafeghin terrorist group are a violation of human rights and entail international responsibility against the act.

The law, titled the Law on Countering Violations of the Human Rights and Adventurous and Terrorist Acts of the United States in the Region, sets the designated individuals under punitive sanctions stipulated by the Act.

The sanctioned individuals and officials are Mike Pompeo, Robert Torricelli, Rudy Giuliani, Joseph Lieberman, Robert Joseph, Michael Mukasey, Louis Freeh, John Bolton, Marc Ginsberg, John Keane, Charles Wald, Nathan Sales, Lincoln Bloomfield, Mary Landrieu, Frances Townsend, James Conway, Deborah Lee James, Gary Locke, Patrick Kennedy, Linda Chavez, Mitchell Reiss, Joe Donnelly, Bill Ritter Jr, Steve Bullock, Philip Norman, Phil Bredesen, Timothy Boras, Theresa Payton, Donna Lease Brazile, James Logan Jones Jr, Pete Sessions, Raul Ruiz, Nicole Malliotakis, Mario Balart, Angie Craig, Brad Schneider, Thomas Earl Emmer, French Hill, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Brian Fitzpatrick, Judy Chu, Scott Perry, Donald John Bacon, Gus Michael Bilirakis, Kelly Ayotte, Hakeem Jeffries, Kevin McCarthy, Brad Sherman, Joe Wilson, Dean Philips, Cory Booker, Roy Blunt, Maggie Hassan, Joni Ernst, John Boozman, Doug Jones, Ted Cruz, John Cornyn, Thom Tillis, Rick Scott, Robert Menendez, Jeanne Shaheen.
