Iran unsanctionable, Western plots continue to fail: Iranian President
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi makes remarks at the opening of the 6th Export Potential Exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Expo 2024).
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that Iran cannot be sanctioned, emphasizing that due to the country's iron resolve, Western plots have continued to collapse.
"This exhibit shows that Iran is unsanctionable, and sanctions against the country have never yielded any results thanks to the strong will of the people and will not be successful after this either," Raisi said at the opening of the 6th export potential exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Expo 2024) in Tehran on Friday.
"Also, the evil plots to isolate the Islamic Republic of Iran have never come to fruition and will never come to fruition," he added.
US knows it has failed
The Iranian President stressed that sanctions are a way of oppression that targets all nations and not just one "If a nation is deprived of achieving its goals and amenities by creating constraints, this is not an injustice to one region but to all nations and regions."
He said that those sanctions are a sort of non-military war, emphasizing that Iran has circumvented the bans by depending on its own capabilities, and that has been well-realized by the US administration and the White House as it admitted to the failure of the anti-Iran pressure campaign.
Assassinations are ineffective
Addressing Iran's localization of technology over the past years, Raisi stressed that all Western attempts to hinder Iran's progress by assassinating its scientists are ineffective.
"The West is trying to prevent us and the region from achieving new technologies, and if we gain that technology, they make sure that the fulcrum will be at their disposal so that they can continue to dominate," he said.
"By the grace of God and thanks to our young scientists, many sciences in our country have become localized and it is not possible for them to take indigenous knowledge out of our country even by assassinating scientists," Raisi highlighted.
Appreciation for workers
Addressing Iran's level of export and output, he said "The power of production and export is not less than military power. What can make a country strong in addition to the military power is the power of production and economy and the ability to export."
President Raisi also appreciated all Iranian employees, producers, engineers, and workers labeling them as the "frontline" officers and soldiers in the battle against enemies and US sanctions.
China supports Iran's response to 'Israel', calls for military coop
Iran and China's defense chiefs discussed ways to elevate military cooperation between both countries and conferred on regional issues.
On the sidelines of the 21st meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states' defense ministers in Astana, Kazakhstan on April 26, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani met with his Chinese counterpart Dong Jung.
Ashtiani praised China's stance on the ongoing developments in the region and its condemnation of the Israeli attacks against the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria.
He emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation and convergence between both countries to work on security issues in the region and across the world.
On the other hand, the Chinese Defense Minister condemned the Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy and stressed that it breached international law.
Dong further highlighted that China backs Iran's legitimate right to respond to "Israel."
