Iran unveils Mossad networks in largest cross-agency intel operation
The Iranian Intelligence Ministry says that detained spies linked to Israeli Mossad were operating in 28 foreign countries across Asia, Europe, and Africa.
Iran announced that it has conducted the largest combined intelligence and counter-intelligence operation against spies and agents affiliated with Israeli Mossad, uncovering the Israeli intelligence agency's preence in 28 countries and entities across three continents, Asia, Africa and Europe.
The Intelligence Ministry described the operation as an "extraordinary and unprecedented collection of information" related to the Mossad units and agents, which saw a fast-tracked analysis and utilization of intel using various methods, leading to dozens of arrests.

"In addition to intelligence and security findings, the obtaining of information related to some of the most important hidden military installations, arms factories, and non-military strategic industries of the occupying Zionist regime is among the notable achievements of this large and multi-stage operation by the Ministry," the statement read.
Detailing the outcome of the operation, the ministry stated that several spies in Tehran and several provinces of the country have been identified and subjected to legal actions or placed under security monitoring.
Additionally, several Iranian spies residing abroad have been identified, and the decision regarding each of them will be made in accordance with their circumstances and the level of relations of the Ministry with the intelligence agencies of the countries of their residence.

Details presented to related countries
According to the ministry, the massive operation came in the context of the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
The details of active foreign spies have been presented to countries that have effective and practical information exchange relations with the Islamic Republic.
"Upon reviewing the records of spies related to 28 countries, it is observed that some individuals voluntarily engaged in intelligence cooperation with the Mossad and committed treason against their own countries for various reasons," the statement read.
The methods used by the Israeli Mossad to recruit spies included exploiting public and social media platforms, migration and employment websites, monitoring and identifying the vulnerabilities of Iranians traveling abroad, and initiating contact with potential targets under various covers.
