The two countries, meeting in Tehran, are cooperating on a number of fields amid hawkish sanctions waged against them.
Wilmar Castro, the Minister of People's Power for Productive Agriculture and Land of Venezuela, announced Tuesday that progress is being made in executing a framework cooperation agreement between Tehran and Caracas in a total of 7 sectors.

The current progress prepares "a great document that the presidents (Nicolas Maduro and Ebrahim Raisi) will consider to make the corresponding decisions," according to the minister.
Over 40 companies are seeking to invest in Caracas, according to the diplomat.
"We have been making the corresponding contacts with the companies and the Iranian Ministry of Energy" to improve the Venezuelan electric system, Castro said.
The Venezuela-Iran High-Level Delegation is going through the execution of a framework cooperation agreement between Tehran and Caracas in 7 sectors, said Castro from Tehran, bringing to light that in Venezuela there are "companies working with high technology for the recovery of our refineries and petrochemicals."
In terms of agriculture, Castro said that the two countries are collaborating on phytosanitary and zoosanitary protocols "to advance in the process of exchange of animal and vegetable products."
