Iran warns 'Israel's' terror, adventurism to expand war in region
The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson says "Israel's" evil acts would not make up for the occupation's defeat and its three months of warmongering in Gaza.
"Israel's" ongoing war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, violations of Lebanon and Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and open support for organized terrorism pose an "immediate danger to regional and global peace and security," Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said on Monday,
In a statement, Kanaani condemned the assassination of a prominent leader of the Lebanese Resistance movement Hezbollah, Wissam Hassan Tawil, in an Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon, expressing that "undoubtedly, the criminal Zionist regime and its supporters are definitely responsible for the consequences of such terrorist and adventurous measures."
Kanaani called "Israel's" terror operations "desperate" and explained that they expose the regime's clear weakness and the tremendous blow it has received on the battlefield, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
He added that evil acts would not make up for the occupation's defeat and its three months of "warmongering against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank."
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah mourned the martyr on the path to al-Quds, leader Wissam Hassan Tawil, from the town of Khirbet Selem in South Lebanon.

In a statement released on Monday afternoon, the Resistance faction mourned the leader, publishing a number of photos that showed him alongside prominent Resistance leaders in the context of his line of work.
In individual photos, martyr Tawil is seen with current Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, martyred leader Imad Moughniyeh, martyred leader Mostafa Badreddine, and martyred leader of the IRGC's Quds Force, martyr Qassem Soleimani, among others.
Earlier today, an Israeli drone launched a strike on a car in the town of Khirbet Selem, reportedly assassinating the commander.
This comes a few days after the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon targeted a strategic Israeli military site, located on the highest point in the '48 occupied territories.
The attack on the "Meron" Air Traffic Control Base on Saturday morning saw the Resistance launch 62 guided missiles and rockets, directly hitting the intended targets at the site on multiple occasions. Hezbollah said that the attack was an initial response to the assassination of Palestinian Resistance leader, martyr Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri, and his brothers in the Southern Suburb of Beirut.
US 'alarmed' by Israeli bloodthirst in Lebanon
US President Joe Biden has once again dispatched aides to "Israel" to avert a full-scale war between the Israeli occupation and the Lebanese Resistance Hezbollah.
Israeli media reported this week that the US wants to prevent an escalation that might evolve into a regional war by sending a senior diplomat to occupied Palestine to prevent the Israeli occupation from committing a blunder.
The Israeli KAN public broadcaster said there were talks about US President Joe Biden's special envoy on Israeli-Lebanese issues, Amos Hochstein, going on a trip to occupied Palestine.
Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant stated Friday that although the occupation prefers diplomacy, it is "getting close to the point where the hourglass will turn over.”
According to The Washington Post, over a dozen US officials discussed a new classified assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) anonymously, which found that it would be difficult for "Israel" to succeed in a war against Hezbollah due to its military assets and resources being spread too thin due to the aggression on Gaza.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned on Friday that any war waged on Lebanon would be an extremely miscalculated and wrong decision, stressing that any such war on Lebanon would be costly.
In response to recent statements by former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding deterring Hezbollah and the “disappearance of Hezbollah's tent near the Palestinian border,” he emphasized that the past is different from today and that the Resistance today is engaging in a real battle, pointing out how Israeli occupation soldiers near the Lebanese borders “are fleeing like rats.”
Sayyed Nasrallah further explained that the multi-front war the US is facing today, similar to that the Israeli occupation entity is facing, from Iraq to Lebanon and not ending in Yemen, is part of the strategy Gaza’s regional allies adopted to force the US to end the Israeli war on the Strip. The purpose of this strategy is to leave Washington suffering from insecurity and instability in all parts of the region and remind it that deciding not to expand the war does not mean it is an inevitable consequence if the war on Gaza does not stop.
