Iran: Sending Fuel to Lebanon is a Sovereign Decision
The Iranian Foreign Ministry declares that America is not in a position to prevent legitimate trade between countries.
In response to the US position on sending a diesel ship to Lebanon, the Iranian Foreign Ministry declared on Monday that the decision to sell fuel is a sovereign one, noting that America is not in a position to prevent legitimate trade between sovereign countries.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh remarked that Iran is serious about executing its sovereignty and that it is prepared to continue exporting gasoline as long as there is a need for it.
The top Iranian diplomat cuttingly remarked that if it were not for the sacrifices of Iran and the axis of resistance in their battle with ISIS, The President of France Emmanuel Macron would not be able to freely roam Mosul.
Khatibzadeh added that Iran undertook 3 rounds of conversations with Saudi Arabia, and will conduct further rounds if required, stressing that Saudi is a neighboring country with which it shares common points.
The spokesman emphasized that Iran welcomes initiatives that contribute to peace and stability in Iraq, divulging that President Ibrahim Raisi has previously visited Iraq and will do so again.
