Iran: Soleimani was committed to diplomacy, Islamic morals
In commemoration of the second martyrdom anniversary of General Qassem Soleimani, Iran's FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian recalls the martyr's personal characteristics.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian considered that General Qassem Soleimani's vision was global, and not just local or regional.
In a statement to the Iranian TV news agency on Monday, Amir-Abdollahian expressed that martyr Soleimani was proud of his military uniform, but was also a prominent diplomat.
He added that the martyr was familiar with and skilled in the arts of diplomacy and was strictly committed to the principles of diplomacy and Islamic morals.
Amir-Abdollahian underlined that Soleimani was present in all areas, with one hand on the trigger and the other holding the pen.
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that Soleimani did not have a direct responsibility in the Vienna negotiations, but advised negotiators to be careful and not to trust the enemies and to be logical and coherent to employ the military achievements at the dialogue table in a way that achieves the people's interests.
Earlier, the Assistant Head of the Iranian Judiciary for International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, revealed that "on the night of his martyrdom, Soleimani was visiting Baghdad on a non-military visit to deliver a message to resolve regional issues."
For his part, the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, considered that "thanks to the blood of the martyrs Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, the Americans are on the verge of expulsion from the region."
It is noteworthy that on January 3, 2020, Al-Quds Force Commander of the Islamic Revolution's Guards Corps, Major General Qassem Soleimani, and the Deputy Commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, were martyred by a US missile strike near Baghdad International Airport.
