Iranian delegation arrives to attend Sayyed Nasrallah's funeral

A high-level delegation headed by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and speaker of the Iranian parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf arrived in Beirut on Sunday to attend the funeral of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
FM Araghchi said, "I come here on behalf of the Islamic Republic to participate in the solemn funeral procession of the two great martyrs," adding that "this procession is proof that the Resistance is alive and will achieve divine victory.
Ghalibaf stated, "I come here leading an envoy of representatives from the Iranian parliament, the Office of the Leader, the Judicial Authority, a group of Iranian governmental institutions and families of martyrs to be part of the procession of the two martyred Sayyeds."
Ghlaibaf is set to meet Lebanon's president, prime minister, and Speaker of the Parliament, saying that he is looking forward to the best of relations between Lebanon and emphasizing the continued support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Lebanon.
The families of martyrs Raisi, Amir-Abdollahian, and Soleimani, arrived in Beirut alongside the Iranian president's advisor Mohsen Rezaee, judicial officials, and an official delegation consisting of 40 Parliament members.
Meanwhile, the Iranian president emphasized on Sunday the Lebanese people's right to be proud of "all of its brave descendants" especially the two former Secretaries-General of Iran Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, whom he described as "Heroes who defended the honor of the nation and remained true to their oath and promise until martyrdom in the path of God."

Lebanon prepares to bid farewell to Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
Lebanon has begun holding its massive funeral procession for its martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and the former Secretary-General on Sunday, with significant attendance not only from Lebanon but also from abroad, including high-level political and religious figures.
The procession is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM local time (11:00 GMT) at the Camille Chamoun stadium, where the coffins will arrive in a special vehicle, and the Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem is expected to deliver a speech before the procession moves towards the final resting place of the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut's Southern Suburb.
Representatives from 79 countries will be in attendance in official and popular capacities, with high-ranking figures from Iran, Iraq, and many more nations being present at the procession.
The stadium is expected to seat over 78,000 people, with 35,000 seats allocated for men and 25,000 allocated for women in the surrounding areas of the stadium.
Beirut witnessed a surge in flights, with over 50 flights arriving at the Beirut International Airport within twelve hours on Saturday, mostly from Iraq and Turkiye, with many Lebanese families welcoming foreign visitors and hotel occupancy reaching 90%.
