Iranian delegation to arrive in Riyadh next week
Yesterday a Saudi delegation visited the sites of its consulate in Mashhad, and the embassy in Tehran.
ISNA reported that a delegation of Iranian officials will be visiting Riyadh next week, in preparation for the reopening of the embassy.

On his part, Alireza Enayati, Director General of the Gulf Department of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told Iran Press referring to the air transport agreement between the two countries, said, "It was decided to resume the flights of the two countries, which defines the people-to-people relationship in the relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Providing the necessary facilities for the travel of nationals, issuing visas, and resuming Umrah are among the other items in this agreement."

Earlier, this week Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, met in Beijing which is an unprecedented meeting between their two countries in seven years.
During the meeting, both officials exchanged views on issues related to bilateral matters, in addition to discussing steps to reopen embassies and pursue the official restoration of relations.
The foreign ministers concluded the meeting by signing a joint statement that affirms that both countries will coordinate efforts to ensure the full implementation of the Beijing agreement.

The resumption of negotiations between Tehran and Riyadh was initiated by the Chinese president. After seven years of strained ties Beijing helped broker a series of talks and negotiations, and Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to restore diplomatic ties and reopen missions in their respective countries.
Several Arab countries expressed optimism about the re-establishment of diplomatic ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia including Oman, Egypt, Yemen, and Jordan.

The Israeli occupation revealed that it considers the restoration of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia deeply concerning and is a major blow to the plans of "Israel" and the United States, Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said.
According to analysts as quoted by the Israeli newspaper, "Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is working to change the dynamic in the Middle East, unlike in the past recent years when his kingdom came close to a confrontation with Iran."
