Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has called on the United States to stop using the language of threat, affirming that Iran would take decisive action to counter all threats.

This comes after the US had threatened to respond to a drone attack that killed three of its soldiers in a Jordanian outpost, which it blamed on Iran. Iran, in response, denied the allegations and reiterated that Resistance groups in the region do not act based on the Republic's diktats.

Speaking at a cabinet meeting chaired by President Ebrahim Raeisi in Tehran on Wednesday, Amir-Abdollahian stated that the Resistance groups in the region pose legitimate threats to "Israel" and its sustenance.

He also stated that the US should focus on devising political solutions to stop the Israeli genocide in Gaza instead of threatening Iran or the Resistance, and warned of certain retaliation.

In the same context, Amir-Abdollahian, during a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, addressed the urgency to stop "Israel's" warmongering in Gaza, emphasizing the need to re-open humanitarian corridors and de-escalate all tensions in the region.

"As for the solution to return stability and peace to the region, the necessity of stopping the genocide in Gaza and the widespread sending of humanitarian aid was emphasized and exchanged," Amir-Abdollahian shared on X.

Earlier this month, both foreign ministers affirmed that the political relations between the two countries are "on the right track and expanding" within the framework of the rapprochement between the two nations.

"Iran supports Saudi Arabia's initiative to convene a meeting of leaders of Islamic and Arab countries with the aim of ending the war in Gaza and providing humanitarian aid," Amir-Abdollahian said.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also stressed that "the United States has been talking for 100 days about not expanding the war, but in practice, it does not show any seriousness in stopping the war and genocide in Gaza."

On his part, bin Farhan emphasized to his Iranian counterpart that it is necessary to continue exerting as much pressure as possible to end the war on Gaza.
