In a recent speech at a defense conference in Iran, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, General Mohammad Baqeri, affirmed that the "myth of the invincible army has been shattered" in Palestine.

"Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has proven that the occupied territories are not a safe place for migration, investment, and infrastructure investment," Baqeri said.

"The Zionists have received a major blow that cannot be repaired by committing [more] crimes. Aerial bombing of Gaza does not signify military superiority, but rather is indicative of the defeat of the Zionists."

"The Zionists were decisively defeated, there is no place for Zionist tanks in the Gaza Strip, and the entity has employed all its capabilities."

Palestine chooses the Intifada

The Palestinian people have chosen the path of the Intifada, Baqeri said. They have chosen to reclaim their rights over gradual death, Baqeri pointed out.

The Iranian commander added that the recent events in Palestine are proof that "Israel" can't be a trusted partner for any of the regional powers.

"The Iranian proposal is the only logical, reasonable, and fair proposal in the world, which is to conduct a referendum among all Palestinians," he added.

General Baqeri added that the Israeli regime has lost both on the battlefield and in the world’s public opinion. "If the Zionists wanted to act rationally, they should accept a ceasefire as soon as possible."

"The Zionists have lost the battlefield and, over time, they will lose their international support, and our enemies know very well that any military attack on Iran will result in defeat and loss."

Gaza would be a graveyard for the Zionists

General Baqeri further said that the Occupation leaders are still deliberating over a ground invasion of Gaza because they know the risks are grave.

“The Palestinian combatants are prepared for an Israeli ground attack,” he stated.

"I mean, what is this logic that #Palestinian groups take their own people hostages?! This is racism. This is sickness, and it must never be repeated by international media."

He also declared that Resistance forces have built over 400 kilometers of underground tunnels in northern Gaza where fighters can commute using motorbikes and vehicles.
