The Iranian High Council for Human Rights criticized Western countries and international human rights organizations for ignoring obvious evidence of human rights violations in their country, namely the non-reaction to the recent terrorist attack on their Shah Cheragh shrine in Shiraz, Iran, which claimed the lives of 15, including men, women, and children.
According to the released statement, the terrorist attack is a clear violation of international law, and those involved should be brought to justice.
Yesterday, the political and security assistant to the governor of Mazandaran said that two members of the Iranian popular mobilization forces (Basij) were killed in a terrorist attack in the city of Amol, north of the country.
In a separate context, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said on Wednesday that "America, Israel, the hypocrites, ISIS, and Western countries played a role in the terrorist act," which targeted citizens inside the Shah-e-Cheragh shrine in Shiraz.
Vahidi stressed that the terrorist operation in Shiraz is the last stage of the enemies' plans to destabilize security, pointing out that "the conspiracies and the joint war against Iran will inevitably hit a dead end and the security forces will confront them forcefully."
Western human rights organizations along with their corresponding states have demonstrated double standards and selective humanity as they 'completely disregarded' and presented a 'lack of reaction to terrorist acts when it comes to Iran.'
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack on Wednesday, which killed 15 people and wounded 40.
