Iranian Media: Scenes of Iranian Helicopter Flying Over US Aircraft Carrier
Iranian TV publishes scenes of an Iranian helicopter flying over a US Navy aircraft carrier at the entrance to the Gulf waters.
Iranian media published Saturday scenes showing an Iranian army helicopter flying close to the US Navy's LHD-2 aircraft carrier, at the entrance to the Gulf waters last Thursday.
On November 3, the Iranian television broadcasted scenes of the IRGC operation thwarting a US attempt to hijack an Iranian oil tanker in the Sea of Oman.
In a statement, the IRGC explained that "the US forces stopped an Iranian oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman, confiscated its cargo and transferred the shipment to another tanker belonging to it before heading to an unknown destination."
An armed team of the Iranian Navy had previously thwarted an attempt to hijack an oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden.
The Commander of the IRGC Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri commented during a televised interview on Thursday about the recent operation and emphasized that oceans and seas are no longer America's backyard.
Tangsiri responded to Washington's allegations that its naval forces were only monitoring the operation.
He confirmed that the Iranian missile launchers at the coasts were ready to respond to any US action.
