Iranian President welcomes King Salman invitation to visit Riyadh
Saudi King Salman bin Abdelaziz sends a message to Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi expressing his welcome to resuming diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent a message to Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi today, in which he expressed his welcome to the agreement to resume diplomatic relations between the two countries, and invited him for an official visit to Riyadh.
The deputy of the Iranian President's office for political affairs, Muhammad Jamshidi, tweeted that King Salman invited the Iranian President to visit Riyadh, expressing Saudi Arabia's readiness to expand cooperation between both countries.

He added that King Salman called for strengthening economic and regional cooperation between the two countries.
The Iranian President, in turn, welcomed King Salman's invitation and affirmed Iran's readiness to enhance cooperation as well.
Earlier today, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian announced that he would soon meet with his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan, indicating that he had agreed to create technical delegations to prepare for the reopening of embassies.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi welcomed the invitation to visit the Kingdom following the reconciliation deal.

A few days ago, the Saudi Cabinet expressed its hope to continue constructive dialogue with Iran, in accordance with the principles of the Chinese-brokered agreement to resume relations between the two countries, reached last Friday.
Last Tuesday, the Saudi Council of Ministers, headed by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, discussed the outcomes of the Saudi-Iranian agreement in Beijing, regarding resuming diplomatic relations between the two countries, according to the TASS agency.
The two countries announced on March 11 to restore ties nearly seven years after they were severed.
