Iranian retaliation legitimate, 'Israel' raising ME tensions : Sanaa
The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa urged the countries supporting the Israeli occupation to prioritize reason, and factor in the interests of their country and people.
The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa stated on Sunday that the Iranian retaliatory strike against the Israeli occupation is legitimate, legal, and in adherence to international law and the UN Charter.
In its statement, the ministry highlighted that the intransigence and crimes of the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip further increase the tension in the Middle East region which will spill over regional borders to reach many other capitals.
It urged the countries supporting the Israeli occupation to give priority to reason, factor in the interests of their country and people, and stop their unlimited political, military, financial, and logistical support for the Israeli occupation as it conflicts with the demands of those people.
Any Israeli response will be met with a harsher, stronger one: Raisi
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized that through Operation True Promise, the Iranian armed forces taught the Zionist enemy a lesson, stressing that a new reckless response from the enemy would be met with a harsher and stronger response.
In a statement, Raisi said the operation comes in defense of Iran's sovereignty and national interests as punishment for Iran's enemies, and to strengthen national security.
He highlighted that this punishment fulfills Sayyed Ali Khamenei's true promise.
Raisi said that this defensive measure taken by Iran falls under its legitimate right of self-defense and in response to Israeli attacks on its interests, especially the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
He added that these operations carry a message of strength and power for the Islamic nations alongside another message of fear and humiliation for the "enemies of humanity," describing this measure as "smart and deliberate," as the Iranian drones and missiles targeted Israeli military bases which destabilize regional security and stability.
IRGC chief: Strike on 'Israel' more successful than expected
The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, announced today that two important Israeli military sites were targeted in Iran's response.
According to Bagheri, the Israeli intelligence's headquarters in "Mount Hermon," and the Nevatim Air Base were destroyed in the operation carried out earlier today, dubbed True Promise.
The first base provided "Israel" with information on the consulate in Damascus, while the F-35 used to carry out the strikes took off from the airbase.
Bagheri pointed out that the attack, which was carried out with ballistic and cruise missiles, "was planned to target the airbase from which the Israeli aircraft that attacked our consulate departed."
“A considerable number of drones and cruise and ballistic missiles have been used in this operation with well-thought-out tactics and proper planning, as neither the Iron Dome nor the Zionist regime’s missile defense shield could take any significant action against this operation."
"The operation’s purposes have been fulfilled,” the Bagheri declared.
