Iranian Trade Minister to Moscow set to attend MMS Automechanika
The Automechanika exhibition is to be held on August 22-25 of this year, in Moscow, and Iranian Trade Minister Reza Fatime Amine is set to attend it according to the Iranian Embassy in Russia.
Iranian Trade Minister Reza Fatemi Amin will head to Moscow to attend the MMS Automechanika, an international trade fair for the automotive industry, according to what the Iranian Embassy in Russia announced on Thursday.
"The Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali held a meeting with the Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov in order to conduct consultations and approvals for the best use of the Iranian pavilion at the MIMS Automechanika and to organize a visit of our country`s Trade Minister and the accompanying industrial delegation," the embassy said.
The Automechanika exhibition is to be held on August 22-25 of this year, in Moscow. The two parties had highlighted during their meeting that development and cooperation between the two are necessary and that it must not be limited.
Iran Khodro
Iran's largest automaker is attempting to prioritize exports to Russia, according to its CEO, as both countries face Western economic sanctions.
Iran Khodro displayed the latest model of its Rira crossover car at its factory west of Tehran, where CEO Mehdi Khatibi outlined the company's plans for the Russian market.
The declaration on August 14 came following Russian President Vladimir Putin visit to Tehran in July, where he met with Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi and Iranian Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Since the start of the Ukraine war, Russia has endured increasingly harsh sanctions, while Iran has faced stiff sanctions reimposed in 2018 when the US unilaterally withdrew from a nuclear deal between Tehran and international powers.
In response to the sanctions, the two countries have increased collaboration in crucial areas to assist support their respective economies.
