Iran's Deputy FM: Vienna Talks Will not Discuss Iranian Nuclear Program
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister says that the Vienna talks will not discuss Iran's nuclear program, but the lifting of the illegal sanctions placed on the country.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Ali Bagheri Kani, said the new round of negotiations in Vienna will not discuss Iran's nuclear program, as it had already been discussed in 2015, leading to the deal with the P5+1. The main subject of the Vienna talks is the repercussions of the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal, and the removal of illegal sanctions.
Bagheri Kani published a tweet a couple of days ago, wherein he said he will hold exchanges on bilateral and regional issues, as well as the scheduled Vienna talks, with his European counterparts.
He stressed that Iran's Foreign Ministry will spare no effort in pursuing national interests, including the removal of illegal sanctions on Iran.

No to negotiations on the nuclear program
The Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that France's EU presidency next year may allow it to play an effective role in dealing with regional countries and advancing Iran's demands, particularly with regards to the negotiations that are set to resume on November 29th with the P4+1.
He commented on consultations with his French counterparts, describing them as detailed, constructive, and serious.
Bagheri Kani also discussed French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian's statements in his phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein AmirAbdollahian on November 9th, wherein he said that the talks should pick up from where they left off at the conclusion of the 6th round on June 20, 2021, stressing that negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program were concluded with the JCPOA.
He added that the main subject of these talks is the repercussions of the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, and the removal of illegal sanctions imposed on Iran.
