Iran’s top nuclear deal negotiator arrives in Qatar
Ali Bagheri Kani arrives in Doha to resume stalled talks on the revival of the nuclear deal.
Iran's Ambassador to Qatar, Hamid Reza Dehghani-Poudeh, welcomed his country's lead negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani who arrived in the Qatari capital of Doha to resume stalled talks on the revival of the nuclear deal.
Dehghani-Poudeh said in a tweet: "Far from prejudice, pessimism or unrealistic optimism, we hope that the team would be successful in conducting its mission in line with serving the Iranian nation's interests."
It is worth noting that the media advisor to the Iranian nuclear team Seyed Mohammad Marandi told Al Mayadeen, on Monday, that Qatar will host indirect talks between Iran and the United States regarding reviving the 2015 nuclear agreement.
Marandi stated that Qatar is one of the options offered to host indirect negotiations between Iran and the US.
During EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell's visit to Iran, he asserted that the negotiations will be held in the coming days and that they will be similar to the indirect negotiations between Iran and the US in Vienna.
