A major operation against ISIS is underway north of Baghdad, whereby two militants were killed, one of whom was a suicide bomber.
A group affiliated with the Tarmiyah Regiment in the Baghdad Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Front, in cooperation with the National Security Agency, carried out a major operation against ISIS in the orchards of AlBu Hamad Shehab in the Tarmiyah District, north of Baghdad.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Baghdad said that the operation led to the killing of two ISIS members in an ambush, explaining that one of them was a suicide bomber.
The Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a statement that based on accurate information and intense cooperation between the security services, a joint force from the 59th Brigade's intelligence, the Tarmiyah Popular Mobilization Front Regiment, and a force from the National Security Apparatus carried out a major security operation and managed to find an ISIS hideout in the Albu Hamad Shehab orchard within the 6th Division.
It added that the force raided and surrounded the den and clashed with the terrorist elements hiding inside, killing one who was wearing an explosive belt and wounding another.
It is noteworthy that the Popular Mobilization Front announced in a statement, on September 24, that it had thwarted an attack by ISIS south of Samarra.
