Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service Announces Security Emergency Plan
The Counter-Terrorism Service in Iraq has announced the completion of its security preparations ahead of the parliamentary elections.

The Supreme Security Committee, for its part, rejected rumors regarding a change in security personnel and the location allocated for collecting ballot boxes.
Ghaleb al-Attiyah, the spokesman of the committee, confirmed that logistical materials were provided for warehouses, cameras were installed, and choosing appropriate fortified sites far from the interference of gangs or terrorism.
Nibras Abu Souda, the assistant spokeswoman for the Electoral Commission, told Al Mayadeen that the electoral commission has partnered with the "competent Iraqi authorities, and infiltration is not an option."
On Saturday, Iraq entered electoral silence, while the Iraqi Electoral Commission announced that the participation rate in the special ballot in the parliamentary elections on Friday amounted to 69%.
On Friday, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces announced that they had launched a proactive security operation to track down terrorist cells in the Saladin Governorate. The operation was launched to secure roads, prevent ISIS threats, destroy hideouts, and secure polling stations from ISIS targets in Saladin.
