Exclusive: Iran commander warns US of interfering in Palestine
The General Commander of the Iranian Army confirms Iran's support for the Palestinian people in their just defense against Israeli aggression.
The General Commander of the Iranian Army, Brigadier General Abdolrahim Mousavi, said on Tuesday that the United States will accelerate its demise if it keeps pace with the Zionist entity.
In an exclusive statement to Al Mayadeen on the sidelines of the graduation of a new batch of Iranian armed forces officers, Mousavi emphasized the need for the United States to "act sensibly and allow justice to prevail, not to aid falsehood."
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi congratulated the Palestinian resistance on the occasion of the victory of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, confirming Iran's support for the Palestinian people in their just defense.
Raisi also stated that the Zionist entity and its backers are responsible for regional security threats and must bear responsibility for that.
Similarly, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned that the escalation of Israeli occupation crimes will further complicate matters in Palestine and the region.
In a phone conversation, Amir-Abdollahian discussed the latest developments in occupied Palestine with the European Union's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.
The top Iranian diplomat confirmed to Borrell that the Resistance's operation is a natural and just response to extremist and criminal Zionist actions and stressed the need for the international community to make efforts to stop the Zionist killing machine.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Kataib Hezbollah, Abu Hussein al-Hamidawi, warned that US bases in Iraq would be targeted if Washington intervened in the ongoing confrontations between the Palestinian Resistance and "Israel", adding that the sites of the Israeli occupation and its proxies will be targeted by the brigades if necessary.
In a related context, a member of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, warned the United States that its direct intervention in the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people would turn the situation into a regional war.
On Tuesday, US defense officials revealed their intention to deploy a second aircraft carrier near occupied Palestine in support of the Israeli occupation.
The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, along with its accompanying ships, had been scheduled for deployment to the Middle East several months in advance.
These vessels are currently en route to the region and are anticipated to reach their destination in approximately two weeks, according to defense officials.
A day after the Palestinian Resistance launched Operation Al-Aqsa Floods, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on Sunday that the Pentagon is moving ships and aircraft closer to the shores of occupied Palestine in support of "Israel".
The White House claimed that while it was sending fresh military aid to "Israel", there was no question for now of the United States interfering in the confrontation.
"There's no intention to put US boots on the ground," National Security Council Spokesperson John Kirby told reporters.
