Iraqi media quoted a security official as saying that several aircraft were damaged as a result of the bombing, pointing out that the Iraqi C-RAM anti-missile defense system intercepted a number of missiles.
It is noteworthy that on January 13, the US Embassy in Baghdad was targeted with three missiles, leaving two people wounded, an Iraqi security source confirmed.
