Iraqi National Security Services Topples ISIS Military Advisor
Iraqi National Security Service (INIS) announces the overthrow of a military advisor belonging to "ISIS" in the so-called "Wilayat Nineveh". The latter confesses leading militants and setting plans to confront the Iraqi forces during the previous operations against the terrorist organization.
The Iraqi National Security Service (INIS) detachments announced the overthrow of the military advisor to ISIS in the so-called "Wilayat Nineveh," according to ISIS's own territorial subdivisions, after he entered the country from a neighboring country.
The military advisor admitted that he led the terrorists by setting plans to confront the Iraqi military forces during the previous operations against the terrorist organization. He also admitted being involved in several administrative and financial positions in ISIS's remnants, the most important of which is the emir and then the financial official of one of the districts of the so-called "Wilayat al-Jazira".
He was then referred to the legal authorities to take the necessary measures against him, according to a statement issued by the Security Media.
In parallel, INIS carried out a security operation during which it found two hideouts for ISIS in Anukit-Sheikh Yunis.
In the same context, the INIS with the military intelligence of the 16th division has formed an expert team that found two ISIS tunnels: the first including fuses and a booklet, some clothes, and food leftovers used by the ISIS remnants. The second contained tools and materials used to make bombs.
Both of the tunnels were demolished, and the team is still patrolling the mountainous areas to combat terrorism and track down ISIS members there.
