On the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the two leaders Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis , Iraqi President Barham Salih recalls the role of the two martyrs in the fight against ISIS and terrorism.

Iraqi President Barham Salih said, "Commander Soleimani came to us at a difficult moment and participated in saving our country from ISIS."
During the celebration organized by the Popular Mobilization Forces on Wednesday, entitled "Days of Martyrdom and Sovereignty" on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the two leaders, Commander of the Quds Force Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani, and Deputy Chairman of the PMF Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Saleh recalled the role of the two martyrs in fighting ISIS and terrorism.
The Iraqi President stressed the need to end the entrenched crises in the region as an urgent need for all, starting with a stable Iraq, and said, "Today we are faced with a great national responsibility to consolidate and protect victory, block the path to terrorism and protect national peace."

In turn, the head of the PMF, Faleh Al-Fayyad, said that "we are continuing with the government to pay the dues for the withdrawal of foreign forces."
The PMF held a memorial festival for the leaders of victory in the Green Zone in Baghdad, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the two leaders, Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis.

On Tuesday, thousands of people in Tehran and Kerman commemorated the martyrdom of Soleimani and Al-Muhandis.
The participants raised slogans calling on the Iranian and Iraqi leaderships to respond to the perpetrators of the assassination of the two leaders, demanding the embodiment of the martyrs' dedication in confronting the enemies of the Resistance Axis.
