The Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched a number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at the Israeli "Rosh Pinna" airport, targeting a military site in the facility, the Military Media unit announced on Thursday.

"In the second phase of the Resistance's operations, in solidarity with our people in Gaza, and in response to the Zionist massacres against innocent Palestinian civilians, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted a military base at Rosh Pinna Airport in our occupied territories on the evening of Thursday, March 7, 2024, using unmanned aerial vehicles," the group stated.

The Iraqi Resistance confirmed its "commitment to relentlessly striking the enemy's strongholds," as long as the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip persists.

Yesterday, the group said that it targeted the "Kiryat Shmona" airport in al-Jalil Panhandle with a suicide drone.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that its fighters targeted the power station at the occupied Haifa airport on Tuesday using an attack drone.

The operation comes a couple of days after the Iraqi Resistance confirmed targeting a chemical substance terminal in the occupied port of Haifa also through a drone attack, as part of the second phase of its operations, which includes the enforcement of a blockade on Israeli maritime navigation in the Mediterranean and putting Israeli ports out of service.

On February 25, Akram al-Kaabi, the Secretary-General of al-Nujaba Movement, a faction that operates under the umbrella of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, affirmed that the Resistance will maintain operations to force US forces out of the country and will not stop attacking Israeli targets in occupied Palestine.

"We will not abandon" the objective to "liberate Iraq" from US presence and support Palestine by striking the Israeli occupation, he underlined.
