The Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee vowed to confront US violations of sovereignty, urged protection of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), and pressed parliament to pass the PMF law while demanding a complete American withdrawal.

The Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee, or "Tansiqiya," reaffirmed on Wednesday evening its readiness to confront American aggression, declaring that "the hands of the loyal men of the Iraqi Resistance remain on the trigger in defense of Iraq, its people, and its Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), which America and its regional tools continue to target."
The committee stressed that the dignity of Iraq's defenders must be safeguarded and that the sanctity of their camps must not be violated, with particular reference to the Saqr camp of the PMF, an institution that has long produced fighters who stood as guardians of the state and its political system against foreign conspiracies.
In its statement, the committee described the United States as "the embodiment of evil," affirming that Washington's hostile policies toward peoples of the region will never change. It warned that American promises are worthless and its maneuvers nothing more than suspicious ploys.
US Moves to Reposition, Resistance Sees Escalation
The statement noted that even as US forces reposition themselves in areas they consider safer and scale down troop numbers in certain bases, they have at the same time escalated their violations of Iraqi sovereignty by intensifying aerial surveillance and combat sorties over Iraqi skies. These actions, the committee said, are a blatant affront to the will of the Iraqi people, who have consistently rejected foreign occupation.
This escalation comes as Kata'ib Hezbollah and other resistance factions warned weeks ago that any attempt for Washington to intervene in the unfolding confrontation between "Israel" and Iran would open the door to renewed strikes against American forces in Iraq and across the region. The Resistance has made clear that Iraq will not be a battleground for US military adventurism.
Call to Action: Defend Iraq's Sovereignty
The Coordination Committee urged government institutions and parliament to rise to their responsibilities by closely tracking US troop movements and compelling them to commit to a full, genuine withdrawal. Only such a step, the statement argued, can secure Iraq's complete sovereignty over its land and airspace.
The committee's appeal comes as the Iraqi parliament continues to stall on the long-awaited PMF law, under pressure from outside actors. Resistance factions have denounced these pressures as part of a wider attempt to weaken Iraq's self-defense capabilities and leave the country vulnerable to renewed foreign dominance.

Toward a Post-Occupation Iraq
Earlier this week, Hussein Alawi, adviser to the prime minister, confirmed that the international coalition's mission at its Baghdad headquarters and the Ain al-Asad base will end by September.
The Resistance views this announcement as only a first step, insisting that any withdrawal must be total and irreversible, and that Iraq's sovereignty must be respected in both land and air.
